Alpaca Lodge with stunning views and alpacas

The Alpaca Lodge is a free standing stone building next to our farmhouse in a rural location (16km from Kenmare), surrounded by our herd of friendly free-roaming alpacas and llamas, with stunning views of Kenmare Bay. It has a cozy bedroom with a king-size bed, a small seating area and en-suite bathroom. Cereal, milk, porridge, orange juice, cereal bars and biscuits are provided in the room, and there is a kettle, tea and coffee, cutlery and plates etc., a microwave, toaster and a small fridge.

This snug, grass-roofed eco-cabin offers panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy a warm Irish welcome, mountain walks on the Beara Way or snorkelling through nearby reefs. Sample local cheeses, lamb, fish and seafood or stoke up the wood-burning stove, have a glass of wine and and savour the peace and tranquillity! Word of warning: we are VERY remote, (1km off the road down a rough track). With almost no public transport, own transport (eg car) is highly recommended - see Getting Around!

The Beara Bus is a unique living space situated on the coastline with stunning views across the Atlantic to the Sheeps Head and Mizen Head Peninsulas and Bere Island. The entrance to the harbour of Castletownbere ( Irelands second largest fishing port) can be seen with the daily coming and goings of the fishing fleet. In the waters below the Bus basking shark, minke whale and dolphins are frequent visitors. The sun rising up over Sheeps Head Peninsula can make for an unforgettable breakfast !

Old Kerry Farmhouse in tranquil valley setting

The property was recently renovated to make holiday- makers as comfortable as possible without loosing the essential character of the house. The large airy kitchen, with fitted and free-standing units retains its farmhouse feel but is well stocked with all the essentials. The cosy sitting room has an open fire, smart TV and plenty of books. All 3 bedrooms have firm and comfy mattresses, eco-duvets and Irish wool blankets.
