Ogletree Creek Cabin, beauty and tranquility

Ogletree Cabin is a private retreat nestled on 85 acres of stunning hardwood and pines- just a three-minute walk to lovely Toad Lake. The beach is a great jumping-off place to swim out to the raft, fish on Toad Lake (where we are the only house on the lake), sit on the screened-in porch off of the fishing shack, and go kayaking and canoeing. Please take note that the cabin has one bedroom with queen downstairs and a loft with three beds accessible by a ladder only and not safe for young child.

Enjoy summer days and gorgeous nights! We are located in a rustic area of northwest Michigan, 15 miles north of Harbor Springs, within 2 miles of the Tunnel of Trees. We are conveniently located for nature preserves, state parks, hiking trails, beautiful beaches, and Mackinaw City / Island. Our home is attached to the guest suite but guests access their suite via a secured private entrance. Our equipped kitchen has a pantry, fresh farm eggs, butter, a home-baked item, ground coffee, and teas.

To get to your cabin you'll begin by winding your way through a vintage salvage yard, filled with relics of autos and farm equipment of the past. While it only sleeps 4, there's plenty of room for you to add a tent for additional sleeping up to 6 total. Your cabin is stowed in a quiet, peaceful outdoor setting only home to one vintage camper. The stars in the night sky will be your last view in the evening. You will wake up to a breathtaking sunrise and the sweet sound of birds in the morning.

Right by Castle Farms. Originally built as Loeb Farms’ onsite veterinarian’s historical home, Queen’s Quarters now boasts 5 beautiful beds and 4 full baths to accommodate larger guests. Queen’s Quarters is very well-suited for wedding groups & family and is close to both. No parties allowed at the home. Also, it is one of our two homes near the Castle. A recently remodeled lower level apartment on a farm in Harbor Springs. Located just miles from downtown, Lake Michigan, world class skiing and golf, biking and hiking trails, this is the perfect home base for any adventure. Enjoy breathtaking views of the sunrises and sunsets on the farm out the panoramic windows. We do live upstairs and you will be able to hear us through the floors. The entire apartment is private, with your own driveway, entrance, kitchen, bathroom, and living space.

There is no lake access at the cottage, private dock is available at our home a few doors down. Wintertime: 4 miles to ski & snowboard Boyne Mtn, Avalanche indoor waterpark too! 9.6 miles to Jordan Valley snowmobile parking. Cabin #1 on a century old family farm

The cabin is located on a private wooded hill top with great sunrise and sunset views. You can drive up and park next to the cabin. The cabin is very basic one room structure with a queen size bed, tables and chairs. Bathrooms, shower, furnished wifi loft, coffee, electrical outlets, and kitchen space, are located a short walk away inside the Events Barn shared space. No electricity at the cabin itself but it does have battery operated lights. No air conditioning.

We are members in a private association with beachfront of 120 ft, and extensive docks with your own slip. Bring or rent a boat! Its only a two minute walk from the house. Charming vintage decor with modern conveniences, big fireplace and a great porch. Wonderful for families and close to the village's restaurants and shops.

The Farm Lifestyle

You'll be staying on a centennial farm that is still in operation today. You'll have access to over 1000 acres where you can feel free to walk, ride your bike, snowshoe, or cross country ski. YES, we do allow house broken pets! :-) *First pet is free, there is an additional $20 per pet with a limit of three pets. No ATV/Snowmobiles please...
