Questo rifugio di montagna con tre camere da letto e due bagni si trova appena sopra il fiume Stanislaus, nelle montagne della Sierra Nevada. Altitudine: 1.500 metri. La baita si trova a pochi passi dal vecchio ponte Strawberry e da diversi sentieri nel bosco.

Soggiorna in questa rustica e unica casa in terra battuta, scolpita a mano, nel cuore della regione dell'oro, circondata dalla natura selvaggia. La casa è magica dentro e fuori, con pareti e soffitti curvi unici, di fronte a uno stagno stagionale e sede di molta fauna selvatica. Siediti fuori di notte sotto la Via Lattea, a guardare le stelle cadenti e ad ascoltare i rospi nello stagno. La camera da letto è al piano di sopra, mentre il bagno è in fondo a una scala esterna. Non è presente il forno.
