Woollen blankets, feather sofa, antique Scandinavian log burner, king-size bed with French linen & down, waterfall shower, & the softest towels. Our sleepy Devon hamlet is only lit by stars at night. You might just sleep better than you have in years.

The Forge is a unique place full of character set at the edge of Dartmoor and only 2 miles from the market town of Tavistock. The Forge is a great place for cyclists and walkers, or if you just want to get away from it all. The Cornish Coast is not far and the city of Plymouth full of history is just a short car journey. Tavistock has the markets and lovely cafes and restaurants. The Forge has a log burner to snuggle up next too on those chilly evenings and a garden to enjoy.

Ruby Retreat Shepherd’s Hut in Devon

Ruby Retreat is a unique Shepherd's Hut hand built in larch, cedar and ash by local carpenter, Peter Milner. His skilled design and craftsmanship gives Ruby a very special feeling. She is brand new for 2023. She sits in her own secluded position on a working Devon farm. The views over the glorious Devon hills are truly captivating. There is nothing to distract you from gazing at the fields, hills, woodland and distant church spire (well, maybe some sheep and lambs frolicking).

There is also a lovely village pub The White hart which also serves good food. We are half an hour away from Plymouth ideal for shopping and many attractions Tavistock is a beautiful old market town only 15 minutes drive The Tamar Trails centre has lots of out door fun things to-do as well as lovely walks

Dunstone Cottage

Relax in rural tranquillity. Ideal for country walks, with the Dartmoor National Park on your doorstep. The river Plym only minutes away. Local good food pub a mile away. The aga adds a constant warm, cosy ambience to the cottage in the cooler months. The hot tub, right outside your back door, available 24/7 Dog secure garden with views. The Barn, Soussons Farm, a cosy welcoming space to use as a base for exploring Dartmoor, surrounded by beautiful open space with numerous bridle paths and footpaths right on your door step. It's a converted granite barn with open plan living room with woodburner and kitchen upstairs. Two comfy bedrooms downstairs. Bathroom with roomy shower. No mobile signal but limited broadband, and WiFi calling. Well behaved dogs welcome for a fee payable before arrival.
