"Starnes è stato un personaggio influente nella politica del Texas negli anni '30 e '40. Fu un mentore di LBJ e coinvolto nella spinta per il finanziamento della diga di Mansfield insieme a Lyndon Johnson e al senatore degli Stati Uniti JJ Mansfield... Si dice che Johnson abbia ricevuto la benedizione delle élite democratiche del Texas per candidarsi al Senato degli Stati Uniti nella capanna sul lago del giudice Starnes a Volente." -Will Taylor

Il nostro chalet artigianale è stato progettato e costruito personalmente dalla nostra famiglia. L'acqua piovana raccolta rifornisce la baita. Situato appena fuori Fitzhugh Rd., si trova a pochi minuti da Austin e da innumerevoli destinazioni della Hill Country. Passeggia per i sentieri del nostro ranch.
