This is the perfect home away from home for anyone looking to relax. Whether it is hiking in the mountains, surrounded by beautiful nature, wildlife and birds, relaxing next to our natural stream that runs through the property with a book or wondering around the shops and restaurants down the road - there is something for everyone here at Highbourne Cottages.

Coldstream Cottage

Set on a 20hectare property on the banks of the Mooi River, Coldstream Cottage is the perfect place to unwind. Enjoy the beautiful views on the verandah, stroll down to the river or have an early morning run. The cottage is an architect designed, open plan, one bedroom unit with partly open plan bathroom. Morning sun pours through expansive glass panes, a free standing fireplace and solid wood floors help keep it warm in winter. A 20 minute drive gets you to Nottingham Road shops and restaurant

Beautiful Breeze Cottage

Beautiful Breeze Cottage sits among the stunning hills of the Dargle Valley. It overlooks 3 tranquil dams, rolling pastures and an indigenous forest. There are cattle and horses in the fields, abundant bird life to enjoy and peacefulness to breath in. It's the perfect place to recharge while escaping the pressures of city life and with the Midlands Meander on our doorstep you can be as busy or as quiet as you choose. The farm is now fully off Eskom power so load shedding is a distant memory.

Anne’s Cabin -A tranquil getaway

Anne's Cabin offers comfortable accommodation in a charming self-catering cottage on a peaceful farm in Underberg. It is ideal for couples or small families looking for a break away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The cottage sleeps 4 guests and has 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom. The bedroom has a queen size bed and there is a double sofa bed for 2 more guests. The bathroom has a shower. The living area offers comfortable seating and the kitchenette is equipped with a fridge-freezer.

Inkunzi Cave - A Unique African experience.

Situated in one of the safest, crime-free areas of SA, with tar roads all the way, is INKUNZI CAVE. A totally unique, owner built unit with a Bushman theme. 1 bedroom only with double bed. Single bed in lounge . An amazing "rock" bath and separate shower. Overlooks a beautiful rock pool. Very private. 2 other cheaper units on the property are listed separately: THE ZULU HUT, and DIDDLY SQUAT. All have stunning mountain views, are comfortable and fully equipped for self catering.

The rustic charm of a converted stone barn set in the majestic Drakensberg mountains. Soak up the wonders of nature on the patio with uninterrupted berg views as cattle, horses graze nearby, enjoy a stroll down to the Mkimkhulu river for a spot of fly fishing. For the more active a hike along one of the many trails on the farm there are plenty of birdlife to enjoy, or bring your bike for fantastic MTB trails. The cottage is situated in The Dargle Valley bordering a forestry estate and overlooks the uMngeni River. It is nestled in the trees next to the main house on Woodsong Farm, which is a small life-style farm where you are free to explore the surroundings. Enjoy walks to the small dam with a picnic basket and bird-watch, take photos, enjoy some casual fishing and wild-swimming.
