Amazing handcrafted cabin located in the center of the "Roanoke Triple Crown" (McAfee's Knob, tinker cliffs and dragons tooth trails) just minutes from each trail head. Cabin is tucked away from everything. No other houses can be seen from the cabin. The cabin overlooks a beautiful pond with a small waterfall cascading in. Cabin was sustainability built with trees from the 20 acres it sits on. McAfee's Knob trailhead is 10 minutes away, Andy Layne trailhead to tinker cliffs is 9 minutes away.

The Magical Cabin on Back Creek

Magic is the word most people use when they visit this hidden gem. Built in 1939 as a fishing cabin by a gentleman who incorporated box cars as rafters and beams, dates still visible since removing the attic. By far the best place I've ever lived. I decided to share it with others who love to explore, who love listening to the voice of the creek or who come just to sit on the porch high above the creek with a spouse, friend, family, or alone. A quiet cottage for young and old alike! Situated on a farm with hiking trails, creeks & streams! Coffee, tea, cream, sweeteners and snacks await you! The "Kitchen" includes coffeemakers, fridge, microwave, toaster oven and a 2 burner hot plate with all necessities to cook (there is no standard oven or kitchen sink - if needed we will pick up your dishes and clean them for you!). Fresh linens and towels are provided. The cabin dates back to the 1800's and was recently restored.

This gem of a cabin is nestled in a beautiful part of Virginia, surrounded by the majestic George Washington National Forest. Woody’s is only 30 minutes from Madison Heights and 37 minutes from downtown Lynchburg.

Rustic Cabin on a 350+ acre Camp

This charming rustic cabin is located at Hat Creek Camp, a 350+ acre camp with over 7 miles of hiking trails and two lakes. The cabin has three rooms, a bedroom, bathroom, and common space/kitchen. The kitchen includes a stove, fridge, blender, coffee maker, and microwave. The bedroom has a Queen bed, and the bathroom has a spacious shower. This cabin is small but very personable, around the camp it is affectionately known as The Pickle. Perfect for quiet getaways in the country.

Falling Pines Historic Cabin

The original log cabin was built in 1936 by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC). These cabins were built after the Blue Ridge Parkway was laid in 1935, which is just down the street. With love and attention our cabin's renovations were complete in 2017. We kept the original log walls to add a rustic feel to the contemporary, crisp clean decor. The cottage overlooks the babbling waters of Back Creek but is just a 5 minute drive to the grocery store, private yet convenient.

Enjoy a peaceful stay in our early 1800’s log cabin. The Cabin sits at the heart of Morris Orchard, a Virginia Century Farm. From the cabin porch, you will look across the pond and enjoy a view of High Peak Mountain, apple orchards, hayfields, and cattle grazing in the pastures. The cabin has been beautifully renovated, preserving the charm and history of the cabin, while adding all the modern amenities you would expect.
