Dryden Cottage, Whitby Harbour - Beach side

This cottage is all about the view! Beach-side location at the base of the 199 steps - perfect for exploring the beautiful historic town of Whitby. Browse in the eclectic independent shops and sample the finest seafood in the local eateries. Walk up to the abbey, stroll along the piers and collect fossils from the beach, take a ride on the steam train to the neighbouring villages and explore the moors. Please note due to the beach side location of the cottage, there is unfortunately no parking.

Incredible views, Central Location, Whitby

The Crows Nest has undoubtedly one of the best views of Whitby from every window, and right in the centre of the town. A cosy loft apartment overlooking the harbour, the abbey and out to sea. Close to some amazing fish and chip shops, tearooms and everything central. A short walk to the beach.There is free on street parking with scratch cards that we provide in the W zones which are within a 5min walk from the flat. There is a pub directly opposite which at weekends you may experience some noise

Townsend cottage is a luxurious barn conversion only 5 minutes drive from Whitby town centre. Rural and sea views. Indulge in the scenery and watch the local wildlife from the lounge window. Private parking. Enjoy the history of this barn - named after Flight Lieutenant Peter Townsend who shot the first German plane in WW11 to land on English soil. Crumbleclive is a beautifully restored 100 year old cabin set within the dramatic backdrop of Crunkly Ghyll. It was originally the ‘Gun Room’ for the local estate in the 1890s! The Cabin has a balcony overlooking the gorge with the River Esk rapids visible at the bottom. Castleton is lucky to have two great pubs The Downe Arms right across the road and The Eskdale which serves lovely ‘fine dining food’ but also lovely just for a drink.
