The current pricing is for the almost 800 sq/ft. apartment only. Most of our quest can not believe how big it is. They always say it is bigger than the pictures show it to be. There is a full kitchen with everything needed for cooking and full size washer and dryer. Also a queen bed, and a twin sofa sleeper in the bedroom, and a a queen sofa sleeper in the living room/kitchen area. A level and paved parking area. The Cottage at Historic Sutherland Manor est. 1807

Helene update: the farm is undamaged and roads leading to it are passable. This farm cottage is located on a historic 40 acre farmstead behind a beautiful farmhouse (which is under renovation) with views of The Peak, Ashe County’s highest mountain. We are bordering Elk Knob State Park and a 10 minute drive to the park entrance. The farm is located in the historic Sutherland valley district and was built in 1807 by Thomas Sutherland.

3 bedroom mountain retreat!

Our little peaceful home is located in the Kettlefoot black bear reserve. Bears can sometimes be seen crossing the road or strolling thru the fields Damascus and Mountain City are only minutes away! Our place offers a big yard to enjoy along with a fire pit with firewood furnished. Cornhole and board games are also available. A nice sitting area on the covered back porch to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet.
