Ambiente molto rilassato. Tariffa fissa di 50,00 $. AGGIORNAMENTO: la terrazza è ora racchiusa da vecchi vetri. Super accogliente. Dispone di un lavandino con acqua calda/fredda, una piastra elettrica, un grande forno tostapane e utensili. Ci sto ancora dando gli ultimi ritocchi, ma è disponibile per l'uso. Foto a breve.

Il rifugio sul Virginia Creeper Trail

Situato sulla pista ciclabile Virginia Creeper, siamo a soli 20 minuti in auto dalla cima del bellissimo Whitetop Mtn. Se ti piace fare escursioni a piedi e in bicicletta, questo è il posto dove soggiornare, poiché siamo a 3 miglia dall'Appalachian Trail e a 20 minuti di auto dal parco statale di Grayson Highlands. Il centro di Damasco si trova a 25 minuti in auto, mentre Abingdon dista 40 minuti. Entrambe le città hanno graziosi negozi, ristoranti, caffè, parchi e negozi di antiquariato. Bristol si trova a circa 50 minuti da casa nostra, e Boone, NC, circa un'ora.

Il Bungalow è una casa accogliente non proprio piccola, di 39 metri quadrati. Un edificio gotico ad arco 16x20 progettato e costruito dal proprietario. Oltre a una cucina completamente attrezzata, un bel bagno e confortevoli posti letto, troverai meravigliosi servizi all'esterno! Viste su montagne, pascoli e boschi. Rilassati su un'amaca o confida i tuoi segreti al cavallo Drifter. Spesso anche Mr Groundhog o la famiglia Deer verranno a trovarti. Il Bungalow at Grandpa's Mountain è un rifugio tranquillo.

Less than 5 minutes to Doe Mountain Recreation, ride from here to there, 20 min to Watauga Lake, 25 min to Damascus, VA featuring the Virginia Creeper Trail, 35 min to Boone, NC, 55 minutes to Bristol Motors speedway. ATV/RV/Boat parking next to cabin. Enjoy your morning coffee on the new back porch. Kitchen fully equipped. Queen bedroom and king floor mattress in loft. Hang out by the fire pit at night and take in the sunrise from the front porch swing.

If you love hiking, three additional trails: Laurel Creek, Gentry Creek Falls, and the Appalachian trail are all within a few miles of our lovely home. Grayson Highlands State Park, Mt. Rogers Recreational Area, Backbone Rock, Abingdon VA, and Boone, NC all make easy day trips. *Note: the Creeper Trail from WhiteTop to Damascus was destroyed by hurricane Helen. The 2nd half, from Damascus to Abingdon is open.

Bears can sometimes be seen crossing the road or strolling thru the fields Damascus and Mountain City are only minutes away! Our place offers a big yard to enjoy along with a fire pit with firewood furnished. Cornhole and board games are also available. A nice sitting area on the covered back porch to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet.
