Great Garage Apartment in Franklin

This cozy apartment is above our detached garage and has its own private entrance. It is one large space with a dining area, living area, kitchenette and a queen size bed. The private bathroom area has a shower only (no tub). The kitchenette has a fridge, four burner stove, microwave oven, coffee maker and toaster. There are dishes, silverware, as well as pots and pans. The apartment also has a 32 inch flatscreen television with direct TV. SORRY - NO INTERNET AT THIS TIME. Bottled water, towels and linens provided. There is plenty of parking just outside of the garage apartment. Sorry NO PETS. We live on Highway 28 approximately 7 miles north of Franklin North Carolina. We are within a half an hour's drive from fantastic white-water rafting in the Nantahala Gorge. We are also within a half an hour's drive to Cherokee and Harrah's casino. We are within just minutes of great hiking, tubing, canoeing and fishing. We do winterize our apartment the 1st of December thru April 1st. We will consider renting for an extended stay (week or more) with advance notice.

Mountain Getaway

Please Note: This property is not accessible with trailers or boats because of the tight turns on the road in. It is no problem for standard size cars or pickups. Come enjoy our Mountain Getaway nestled in The Nantahala National Forest and only 3 miles from Main St. in Franklin. You will enjoy quiet solitude after a full day of hiking, biking, white water rafting, or viewing some of our many waterfalls. Your GPS will get you to our door but feel free to call if further directions are needed.

The apartment is a 1965 square foot 2-bedroom with a king-size bed in each bedroom. A full kitchen, a very large living dining kitchen area, a private patio, a gas log fireplace, huge TVs, and a jaw-dropping view of WCU and Cullowhee NC and yes a killer hot tub to soak in the view. You will access to our Main St. facing front yard with fire pit, tables and chairs. The end to a perfect evening is having a glass of wine while sitting by the fire pit. Our apartment was remodeled in 2017.
