The house has 1 King bed, 1 Queen bed, and 1 twin/trundle bed. It is kid-friendly with a large back yard and a fully-equipped kitchen and smart TV, (but no cable and no AC), and PS3 with games. Camden is nearby and has a ski resort. 10% military discount.

The Barn

I call my place "The Barn" because as I was finishing it it took the shape and feel of a barn. It's not a barn. It's a quiet post and beam open concept building (a Jamaica Cottages kit) set among the fields of Appleton, Maine. You'll sleep in the loft or on a futon on the main floor. The bathroom is huge, 10X10, with a heated floor. It's an open concept kitchen and living space. From Appleton you are 20 miles away from the tourist destinations of Camden, Rockland, and Belfast.

This conveniently located home is 1.5 miles from downtown Rockland and all the local festivals. It is a short drive to Camden & Thomaston and only minutes to the Farnsworth Art Museum & Transportation Museum . Centrally located, about 1.5 hours from both Portland and Bangor and only 2 hours from Acadia National Park. Local amenities include, beaches, scenic hiking trails, light houses, lakes, golf, skiing, art galleries, and of course lobsters.
