Private, 120-square-foot bedroom with real queen size bed. Perfect for travelers in town on work or guests looking for a comfortable place to rest their heads. The room has two nightstands with room for books and papers, half of the closet will be clear for hanging clothes and there are two luggage stands for your suitcase(s). The room has a radiator and can be cooled with a window box air conditioner that I remove during the winter months. Fresh linens and bath towels will be provided.
Well-appointed and clean, real 2 bedroom with additional home office in West Harlem. Beautifully and comfortably decorated, this pre-war apartment is on the 3rd floor of a walk-up building. Bathroom is a good size and living room/kitchen are large for Manhattan. Building is quiet and safe.
I am in and out of the house during the week and on the weekends, without a regular schedule. I am a production designer for film/commercials and also work for an artist. Somedays I am gone 14 hours and some days I am home all day. I have my own bedroom as well as an office that I sometimes work out of. I refrain from having guests and friends over when I have airbnbers staying with me.
ABCD express trains at 125th street are literally 1/2 block from the building; 15 minute train ride to Times Square, 25 minutes to the West Village. Columbia University is a 10-15 minute walk. Historic 125th Street and the Apollo Theater are just steps away, as are Morningside, Saint Nicholas and Riverside Park. There's a delicious French bistro on the corner, a Soul Food buffet two blocks away and Red Rooster is a five minute walk.
I don't have a coffee machine, but an electric kettle and French press do the trick. The bistro down the block has excellent coffee if you don't want to make it yourself. High-speed wireless internet throughout the apartment. If you need to do laundry, there are card-operated washer and dryers at a laundromat three blocks away. I'll leave you with a list of my favorite places to eat, visit, and shop in the neighborhood and beyond.
Regole della casa
I am very neat and clean and do everything I can to avoid the grime of NYC infiltrating my house. I have lived in my apartment for two years, love it and hope you do too. Please treat my home as close acquaintance's place and leave it as you found it.
