Learn to live a simple life by vacationing in a Cabin! Whether you're coming to explore all the hiking & biking trails, a ski trip, concert, or one of the many events or races, this is the place to enjoy all that Central Oregon has to offer! Come relax & watch the sunset on the deck of this eco-friendly cabin. Only 15 mins downtown, 30-45 to Bachelor, 20 mins to Les Schwab Amphitheatre. Have you heard we have Uber now? ;)

L'alloggio

A private cabin with queen size futon down below and two twin beds up in the loft. The kitchenette includes a two burner hot plate, mini fridge with freezer, toaster oven, tea kettle, French press, and coffee grinder. This is not a full kitchen and not intended to cook full meals (although some guests have been ambitious enough), but rather breakfast and lighter fare. Live the simple life and patron any number of our fabulous restaurants and bars! Enjoy the sunsets from your deck with Adirondack chairs and umbrella for some shade. Detached bathroom "outhouse" has a composting dry toilet, wet toilet, sink, and propane tankless water heater shower. Biodegradable products only please. Being that The Cabin is a small space, it is quite nice having the bathroom detached for ultimate privacy from yourselves!
The Cabin is about 125-150ft away from our home and faces away so that The Cabin door and deck are not visible from our home.

Accesso ospiti

The Cabin has a designated parking space, private deck, detached bathroom and hammock (seasonally).

Interazione con gli ospiti

We live here so feel free to say hello if you see us. We cannot see The Cabin door or deck from our home. Respecting privacy is mutual and we will definitely not bother you at all. Most of the time we only know you're here by seeing your car parked, or walking to and from The Cabin:)
We are available via phone call or text (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) Andie

Altre cose da evidenziare

The toilet does not flush, it is composted. There will be plenty of info in the house manual. It's a really neat, clean system that lots of state parks use. There are two toilets, one for liquids and one for solids. Saw dust and coconut fibers are used to sprinkle over each use. Each bag can be used several times. It is generally changed daily, so if you book for more than one day you will need to change the bucket more than once. Please remove the bag and toss away before check out. If you're having a hard time with it, just let me know. I'm happy to help :)

My husband and I stayed at Andie and Chris' cabin for our anniversary and had a lovely time. The cabin is situation on the family's property, about 25 yards away (or s?) from the main house. Even though it was near to the owner's home, we still felt like we had privacy and our own space. Andie and Chris were great communicators and took a lot of care to add extra, thoughtful amenities in their cabin. In particular, we enjoyed the robes and slippers, fresh ground coffee, fresh eggs and postcards. The cabin itself is very clean and cozy. We slept in the loft (to feel extra cabin-y :), but do note, that the loft area has the two singles (the queen mattress is downstairs and is a futon), so we squished them together to make a queen in the loft. No issues or complaints about the detached bathroom space (in fact it was nice to have it outside of the cabin space). Location wise, the cabin was close enough to town that we could buzz in and out, but far enough away that we got to enjoy the quiet of the Bend's outskirts.

Kim, we are so glad you enjoyed your anniversary weekend in Bend! The Cabin is 125-150ft away from our house depending on which door we measure from ;) Thank you for the pointer, as I have added that into the description for clarification. We feel it is quite separate and are happy to hear you felt the same! Come back anytime.

The cabin is a deluxe version of very primitive living. We were without power for more than half the time in the two days we were there, so that added to the feel of "primitive". The cabin is clean and neat but lacked simple accommodations like a sink in the room or uncluttered counter space for preparing a meal. Very friendly folks and easy to get along with "farm" critters. When they fix the "power issue" I would be happy to return.

Hi Billy, As I agreed during the two times the breaker tripped, any power outage is one too many! I do want to clarify that during your two night stay we had the power repaired early afternoon the day after you arrived and confirmed the issues were resolved with no further outages during the remainder of your stay. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. We do not have a full kitchen for meals advertised but I have since gone in to be more specific about light fare cooking abilities in the kitchenette, I apologize that there was confusion there but appreciate the opportunity to update our listing description. Bend has so many amazing restaurants and bars, we hope you found some good ones to enjoy! Especially The Pickled Pig at the airport while visiting your son, great BBQ. Cheers: Andie, Chris, Rufus, Boba, Harriett, and all the chickens :)

We loved staying at the Cabin on the Farm! The description and photos of the space are spot-on. There are extra touches, like providing postcards of Bend and Oregon to send (loved that idea!) While we did not get to meet to cat or dog, we got to meet the duck and all of the many beautiful chickens. It was lovely to sit out on the deck eating breakfast and feel like we are way out in the country when we are only a short 10-15 min drive to town. Andie was extremely responsive, even at 10pm on a Saturday night when would expect a delayed response. I would recommend the Cabin to anyone looking for a unique place in a beautiful setting.

Everything was just as described. We enjoyed being off the beaten path and being able to sit out on the patio and enjoy breakfast with eggs from the farm. The cabin was very neat and clean and all of the basics were provided. The host made herself available and checked in to see if we had any questions about the area or the cabin.

We were the first guests to rent this space. Overall, we were very pleased with the place. Pros: - Andie and Chris were very respectful of our privacy and communicated mostly through text messages to avoid intruding on each other. Andie was super-fast at responding and always very helpul to us - It’s a beautiful spot, with lots of chickens, a super nice cat, and one of the most well-behaved dogs I’ve ever met in my life. I don’t think it barked once. As the listing states, there are definitely animal noises around, but we liked it. We just had to close our windows at 4am when the rooster started. - The cabin itself is great and very nicely furnished. They pretty much thought of everything. Nice plants and pictures on the walls. Kitchen was well stocked. The only thing I could think of that would have come in handy was a robe and slippers for nightime trips to the bathroom. - There were some fun unique touches. The toilet basins were made from chicken watering cans. The bathroom walls were a mix of cork and corrugated metal. Hooks for towels were faucet spigots. The fan had a small metal lightbulb and fan attached to each of the cords to distinguish them. There was an LED light strip near the bed where you could control the colors. A lot of care was put into it and it also looks like some things were made from reclaimed materials which adds character and is just a smart thing to do. - The deck is very nice although we ended up not using it Cons: - The water in the bathroom had a pretty bad taste to it, maybe because it’s newly installed - As described in the listing, the bathroom is not attached to the unit. This turned out to be more annoying than we expected. It’s a bit inconvenient to have a kitchen in the cabin and a sink outside for either cooking, cleaning, or washing hands. Bathroom trips in the middle of the night are not super great either. - Coming from California, the whole space moves a bit when people are walking around, which triggers earthquake thoughts.

Thank you for the suggestions, we have provided two robes and sets of slippers. What a great idea! We took a great deal of time, energy, and creativity to reduce, reuse, and recycle our way to creating The Cabin. Thank you for noticing :) Come back to Bend and visit again soon without the eclipse craziness! Cheers!

We have a small mini farm that is our peaceful retreat, and we love to share it! We have a dog named Rufus, cat named Boba, 16 chickens and a duck named Harriett. We love living the simple life out here at The Farm. The stargazing is incredible out here!
