Benvenuti in questa storica casa colonica della guerra civile. Questa casa in pietra costruita nel 1861 da Christian Shriver fu utilizzata come ospedale da campo durante la guerra. La signora Shriver preparò la colazione al generale Reynolds il primo giorno della battaglia (in cui fu ucciso). I Durboraw si sono trasferiti qui nei primi anni del 1890 e da allora sono rimasti qui nella fattoria. La piscina è aperta stagionalmente da metà maggio a metà settembre. This renovated ‘summer kitchen’ is close to Gettysburg battle field and Gettysburg university. There are a set of fairly steep steps that lead to the bedroom, so please ensure that you are able to climb these (see pics). There is a small sitting room, bathroom and kitchenette on the first floor, and the bedroom is the only thing on the 2nd floor. There is plenty to do in historic Gettysburg, or if you like to ski or snowboard, Ski Liberty is only about 20 mins away!
