Worth the winding mountainous road to get there. Beautiful lake nestled in the mountain peaks in the forest. The route takes you through numerous mountains and the views are fantastic. There are walking trails there too. You can also go swimming in the lake. A small tavern is located there.

Agia Lavra is a monastery near Kalavryta, Achaea, Greece. It was built in 961 AD, on Chelmos Mountain, at an altitude of 961 meters, and can be described as the symbolic birthplace of modern Greece. It stands as one of the oldest monasteries in the Peloponnese.

Styx's waters are the sources of Krasi River in Helmos of the Kalavrita District in Achaia at an altitude of 2,100 meters. According to mythology, Styga was an Oceanian who had her palace in Tartarus and her never-sleeping dragons guard her constantly. It was believed that the waters of the spring were coming from there, from Tartara and the palace of Styx.
