My Favorite coffee places
Blank has the spirit of a small village cafe, the heart of a hard working family and food that rivals many cafes across London! This little gem has been a joy to find as a Brixton local and I regularly come for their beautiful coffee and their plant based goodness.
Every customer is welcomed warmly and can enjoy the cosy atmosphere, smelling of pancakes and coffee and bubbling over with locals and puppies.
The menu caters for every desire and even non-vegans will find something delicious to sample (faux-sausages, fritters, porridge, pancakes and some of the most delicious vegan pastries that I have come across after sampling many limited 'vegan' brunch menus in London).

My favorite Brunch places
Minnow is an instant charmer.
It seduces before serving a thing thanks to its pastel green frontage and Parisian-style café tables and the hanging roses around its window.
The effect continues inside, with a tiled black and white floor, light wood tables and grey banquettes creating an effect that is the archetype of light and airy. There are more flowers hanging on a doorway, and an itsy terrace adorned with flower boxes out back. All that’s missing is a white picket fence.
A short cocktail list which sees each drink named after a different Clapham resident through history, and served with a bar mat explaining the details, is another endearing touch — the kind of thing you’d see on a Pinterest wedding board and copy for yourself.
Ideal for Bottomless brunch, brunch, lunch and aperitivo

Food scene & Markets
There are 83 businesses in Brixton Village and 45 in Market Row, of all shapes and sizes. They offer something for everyone!
There is a real diverse mix of businesses here. For the most part small and independent, some of them have started here and thanks to all the visitors that come to Brixton Village they have been able to grow so now you’ll see them popping up in other neighbourhoods in London. Great example is Franco Manca (OMG, if you haven't tried their pizza this is an absolutely must-do!) and Honest Burgers (This is my favourite place for burgers, best veggie burger and rosemary chips ever!)
This Market has been in Brixton for over twenty years!
Visitors really are spoilt for choice, you can buy the ingredients for a great meal, or the materials for your next fashion or artistic creation, or you can come here for the finished product – a great meal with friends, or your new outfit for that special occasion! Whatever the time of day you’ll have a great experience. Perhaps a morning coffee and quiet chat with friends, or a business meeting, or stocking up on the necessities. Alternatively soak up the atmosphere on a weekend evening when everyone is sitting outside at packed tables and the music is playing.
The markets are home to entrepreneurs, educators, mentors, charity workers, therapists, designers, artists and providers of vital goods, services and home comforts to the local communities in and around Brixton – Afro-Caribbean, Latin American, European, and Asian.

Pop Brixton is one of the UK’s hottest food scenes, a cool shipping-container food and events space.
Pop Brixton has a stunning array of food to try. While the venue hosts everything from vintage markets to jazz performances and yoga classes, the restaurants and food stalls on site are the major draw day in, day out. There are culinary influences from Venezuela to Vietnam, sinfully massive burgers and vegan salad bowls, and cheeky desserts if you know where to look. Most venues are open seven days a week. Box appetit!

Every Saturday, Venn Street comes alive with the rich scents and community spirit of the famous Market.
Showcasing an enormous variety of locally sourced food, flowers and crafts, the stalls sell the very best products that London’s independent producers have to offer.
The collection spans fresh fruit and vegetables, dairy products, fishmongers, bakers' selections of bread, pastries and cakes and butchers serving pork, beef, lamb and all kinds of game and rare poultry.
The Market also hosts a variety of flowers and craft stalls. As well as fuelling the local economy, Venn Street Market regularly gets involved with local school events and community projects.

Perhaps one of London's loveliest leafy expanses, Brockwell Park has become a mecca for fun-loving kiddies. Often termed "Brixton's Beach", the park is remarkable for its large lido, now one of the few remaining outdoor swimming pools in London. It is an ideal place to take a dip in the summer and catch some rays.

This Brixton branch - on Acre Lane - is one of three Blues Kitchens in London. The others are in Camden and Shoreditch. Each follows the same theme - food of a southern American bent served to a soundtrack of live music.
And while the music of the moniker does play more than a small part on the music programme, it's not all about the blues. Expect, too, swing, soul, bluegrass and Motown. There's usually something on every night of the week.
The food menu takes in classic Deep South dishes, with New Orleans gumbo, catfish jambalaya, Texan brisket, St Louis pork rib and a creole bean burger and jerk chicken salads also feature.
