The flat and stairs
The flat is known as ‘Attic Flat’, which tells you something about how high up it is – it’s on the fifth floor. There are around 100 stairs. You will (we promise) get used to these. However we advise you to bring (say) two smaller luggage items rather than one large one.
Check-in time is 3p.m. If it is mutually convenient we may be able to let you in earlier (or later). We will try our hardest to meet you personally; if we cannot, we will arrange for a friend to meet you or for you to collect the keys at Sandy Bells (pub on the corner of Forrest Hill and Forrest Road

Travel to the flat
Arriving from the airport
From the airport you can take the tram or Airport Express bus into town (approx. 30 mins.) and then walk or get a taxi to the flat. Walking takes about 15-20 mins. Alternatively, you can take Lothian Bus 300 from the airport – these run daily, and about every 20 minutes during the day. This takes you directly to Forrest Hill (ask to get off at Forrest Rd) so is very convenient and cheap, but takes longer (about an hour). To take the 300 back to the airport, there’s a nearby stop on Lauriston Rd.
Arriving by train at Waverley Station -You can walk (takes 15-20 minutes
