I have had the pleasure of visiting Yosemite National Park multiple times, and it is always an amazing experience. However, my favorite visit was when the park was blanketed in snow.
Yosemite National Park is an awe-inspiring place with a rich history. The park is home to some of the tallest waterfalls in the world, as well as a diverse array of flora and fauna. The park was established in 1890, and has been a popular destination for hikers, climbers, and nature lovers ever since.
When I visited Yosemite in the snow, the park took on a whole new level of beauty. The snow-covered trees and rock formations were breathtaking, and the silence of the winter wilderness was soothing. I loved the feeling of being completely surrounded by nature, and the crisp air and crunching snow under my boots added to the sense of adventure.
In addition to the natural beauty, there are also plenty of things to do in the park in the winter, such as cross-country skiing and snowshoeing through the park.
Yosemite National Park is an amazing place to visit any time of year, but it is especially magical when it is covered in snow.

For $5 per person you can opt to do a self-tour or guided tour. The guide was is great - he was a walking encyclopedia! He walked us through the rail yard and gave us a story of each train. Some of these trains have been in so many movies... including Back to the Future 3. I find it so magical to still see such great pieces of history.
Train rides, are on weekends only, they also have the Polar Express set up for the holidays!

Great resort when there are big snow years. There are lots of Black diamond runs that aren't overly crowded. Lift tickets are less than $100 per day - great value, you can rent snowboard or ski equipment on site. You don't run into horrendous traffic going up here and it's a lot easier than going to Tahoe. You can also avoid the line and buy your tickets online.
