A 20 minute walk from the flat and you will soon stumble upon one of the prettiest beaches in the North East. Grab a homemade ice-cream from Cresswell Ices and head for the rocks for some good old fashioned rock-pooling.

Continue along Cresswell beach and you will soon find yourself at Druridge Bay Country Park. Another fantastic beach which stretches between Cresswell & Amble. There is a visitor centre with information, toilets, a cafe and gift shop (open most weekends and school holidays), activities, water sports, bird-watching, walks, orienteering and cycling.

Continue along Cresswell beach and you will soon find yourself at Druridge Bay Country Park. Another fantastic beach which stretches between Cresswell & Amble. There is a visitor centre with information, toilets, a cafe and gift shop (open most weekends and school holidays), activities, water sports, bird-watching, walks, orienteering and cycling.
A picturesque village with a curved beach - popular amongst families - great for sand castle building & ball games. Visit the smallest museum in Northumberland – The Ferryman’s Hut for the history of the lives of local boatmen.

This is an historic fortress town which was passed back and forth between England and Scotland for centuries – visit Berwick Barracks (built in 1717), now home to three museums to discover the town’s history. The remains of Berwick castle is perched over the River Tweed.

A 15 minute drive from the flat this pretty historic market town is worth a visit - take a walk along the River Wansbeck and you will stumble across Carlisle park with a children’s play park and paddling pool, and rowing boats for hire (seasonal and weather dependant).
There is a flower park with a small Avery - take a walk up Ha’ Hill from here & admire the views of Morpeth castle (you can sometimes find goats grazing here too).
There is a small retail shopping centre and lots of great places to eat which cater to all taste buds!

Whitehouse Farm Centre is the largest family-run farm in Northumberland, just outside of Morpeth with lots of animals to see and lots of fun to be had in the adventure playground.
