Freathy is a large expanse of sand at low tide but splits into a series of rocky coves when the tide is in. Bit of a winding cliff path to get to it.

It gets very busy in the summer so out of season visits are more sedate. There are plenty of shops, cafe, restaurants and pubs, as well as boat and fishing trips, so Looe offers pretty much everything. Plenty of walks along the coastline and from West Looe you can walk the 5.5 miles to Polperro.
