Short hike close to airbnb. It is a beautiful 5 minute neighborhood drive away. Do not leave valuables in car- although this area remains pretty busy, it has been targeted by people breaking into cars.

Food scene
Although there is a JuiceLand a short walk from the airbnb, the Lake Austin Blvd location is my favorite. It's colorful and has a fun outdoor only atmosphere. It is also a great starting point for a walk along the river. My favorite smoothie is the Julio Verde.

People tend to think of BBQ and Tex Mex when it comes to Austin dining but burgers are also super popular (and good) here. Pool Burger has a tiki vibe (and drinks). It is walking distance to Deep Eddy pool (Texas' oldest pool) and hiking along the river.

Possibly the best sushi you will ever have. There is also sister restaurant Uchi, but Uchiko is a bit closer and there is little difference. They also have a good happy hour.
