Pólar Hestar has been offering riding tours in Northern Iceland since 1985. In 2020 our family business celebrated its 35th anniversary! It all began with a small herd of just about 15 horses. By now our herd comprises around 150 horses and we offer multiple different riding tours.

The Public Park was first opened in 1912 and the botanic section added in 1957. The park has been enlarged three times since 1912 and is now about 3.6 ha and lies at 40-50 m altitude at Eyrarlandsvegur road near midtown.
