Recently under new ownership Hyne's is a new favourite of mine. It has tonnes of charm, great drinks, and a really great beer garden. They do Irish language nights on Thursdays and traditional music on Sundays. There is also a food truck in the alley adjacent which serves dosa.

Mother has been going from strength to strength for over a decade and is one of the best clubs in the city. Hosted every Saturday night in Lost Lane, just tucked away on Grafton street, it's been my favourite club night since it started. The music is disco/alternative/electro-pop, the crowd are friendly and a good balance of different ages.

Culture
Formerly a military hospital for the British army, IMMA was Irelands first museum dedicated to the contemporary visual arts. The exhibitions can be hit and miss so I would advise checking their website to see what's on, however it is still worth a visit to see the 17th-century architect and gardens mixed with modern art.
