Loved by adults and children, the slip and slide is so much fun. Definitely book in advance to secure a 1 hour slot. Early slots and mid week days tend to be quieter so less queuing.
Either take a picnic, or grab a bite from one of the pop up food trucks on site. In 2023 the slides relocated to a new location just off the A39 near St Columb.

Popular with locals year round, this place is perfect for families with younger children. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating, huge choice of cakes, warm lunches and farm shop.
Kids can enjoy a large outdoor playground including swings, climbing frame, sandpit and mini ride on tractors (£1 per ride), long snake slide, zip wire and more.
We love to visit and frequently go strawberry picking in season.

Fun at any time of year, but i think it's best enjoyed on a bright and cold day. Enjoy warming up in the beach sauna followed by running into the sea for a dip.

An absolute favourite with our children (aged 2-8yrs). There are always well executed activities/trails during the school holidays. The cafe serves delicious home cooked food. They also do a lovely breakfast and you don't need to pay to visit the cafe.
It isn't cheap, so make sure you go for a full day and have time to see as much of the garden as possible.

B3273An absolute favourite with our children (aged 2-8yrs). There are always well executed activities/trails during the school holidays. The cafe serves delicious home cooked food. They also do a lovely breakfast and you don't need to pay to visit the cafe.
It isn't cheap, so make sure you go for a full day and have time to see as much of the garden as possible.

The best spot in town for a glass of wine, cocktail and pinxtos. The tapas style nibbles are delicious. Not huge portions so perhaps have an early dinner at home and top up here. The basque cheesecake is my favourite!

A cool 'container made' structure - always a good selection of street food offerings (wood fired pizza, South East Asian, Coffee and cake, Wine and cocktail bar). Also features a wood fired hot tub and sauna on the top floor, definitely worth a visit!

Tasty food truck situated on the beach at Baby Bay (the beach just North of, and attached to Polzeath at low tide). There are often different themed food nights, but a great option if you want to stick around at the beach and enjoy a sunset without lugging a picnic or BBQ with you.
