Great new place for coffee and breakfast, - an 8 minute walk from the house. Getting very good reviews from locals on FB and from my AirBnB guests. Open Tues-Sun 7am-3.30pm. Try their eggs Benedict!

Great Indian restaurant, - nothing special from the outside but very good food, reasonable prices and highly recommended, especially if arriving hungry. 8 minute walk. Open from 5pm, 7 nights a week.

An easy walk from the house, MOTAT has a lot of transport exhibits (mainly road vehicles). A free 5 min ride on a vintage tram takes you to MOTAT 2, which has an excellent collection of old planes.

Haven't been here for a while but it's a treat, - a really excellent zoo. Apart from the animals I like it because it has fantastic trees and landscaping, - a gorgeous place.
