Food Scene

For simple local food in the center of Sorrento, I'd choose “Trattoria dei Mori”, an intimate and authentic place in the historical area. The owner Massimiliano will be more than happy to welcome you there.

For authentic traditional food, up on the hills of Sorrento Peninsula, Amalia’s family runs the restaurant "Il Fienile": the food is very fresh, vegetables are from their garden, meat and fish come from the area, the house wine and oil are produced by the owners. The view from the terrace is amazing.

Located in the ancient fishing village of Puolo, the restaurant offers a breathtaking view of Mount Vesuvius. It's the ideal place to enjoy the local cuisine, with fresh fish and seafood, right by the sea.

So much more than sandwiches. Ciabatta or pizza bread, filled beyond possible levels with meats, cheeses, vegetables and flavour. The two ladies running A’Marenna - Anna and Iride - are super friendly!

Pompeii is the most expansive Roman town you can visit nowadays: before the eruption, this seaside town was home to approximately 11,000 people. Pompeii offers a look at Roman houses, temples, baths, gardens, and public areas, like the amphitheater. I suggest to reach the archeological area by train: the “Pompei - Villa dei Misteri” stop is just in front of the entrance to the site. Once you get there, the entrance fee is EUR 15.

Overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, the Amalfi Coast is one of the 50 Italian sites included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. The Amalfi Coast is a balcony suspended between the cobalt-blue sea and the slopes of the Lattari Mountains. I can book for you a boat tour on the Amalfi Coast, with a stop-over in the ports of Positano and Amalfi for free time to visit the villages. You'll have time to enjoy the sea, diving, and snorkeling in the coves of the coast. If you prefer an Amalfi Drive, I can book a minivan tour.
