A great beach

A beautiful pebble beach in a seaside town. I love to sit on the beach or take my kayak out for a paddle on the water. You can hire sea kayaks and stand up paddle boards (SUP) on the pebble beach. Walk along a level pathway around the cliffs to Jacob's Ladder beach, which is a mix of sand and shingle. There are plenty of rock pools for the youngsters to explore at low tide. If you have the energy, climb 'Jacob's ladder' a set of wooden steps up to the top, where you can find the beautiful 'Connaught Gardens.' A perfect place to relax and if you're lucky you might hear some live music in this park.

A quiet beach at the end of a lane. It is one of my favourite places to go to on the coast. With only a car park and a small beach cafe, you need to remember to take the essentials with you. A perfect place to hang out on the beach for the afternoon (when the sun is shining!)

City

A beautiful historic city. So much to see and do - take a look around the cathedral, walk through the alleyways (which inspired JK Rowling's Diagon Alley!) or browse the shops. Lots of great bars and restaurants too!

Pub

I love this pub. It is sat at the end of the canal and alongside the River Exe. I love to take my bike or kayak from Double Locks pub and peddle/paddle down the canal to this pub. Great food/drink with beautiful views of the River Exe.

Food scene

For a special treat, you could book a water taxi from Exmouth Marina to take you out to the River Exe floating cafe. Feast on fresh Mussels and enjoy a cold beer, whilst watching the sun set. A really special experience!

Good for kids

This place is great for children. A huge wood, with wild animals including lynx, wild boars and wolves. Children can get lost in the maze, take on the drop slide and explore the woodland area.
