Shopping and sightseeing

Brighton

It is so easy to get to Brighton from Springles. On a fine day you can head to the beach. There are restaurants galore down there but also lots to keep the kids entertained. If shopping is what you're after, the famous Laines will keep you busy. Loads of lovely independent shops, in a pretty bohemian area of town. There are all the high street shops too, all conveniently located in the centre so it is easy to walk around. You can get a train from Lewes to Brighton which takes about 15 minutes.

It is so easy to get to Brighton from Springles. On a fine day you can head to the beach. There are restaurants galore down there but also lots to keep the kids entertained. If shopping is what you're after, the famous Laines will keep you busy. Loads of lovely independent shops, in a pretty bohemian area of town. There are all the high street shops too, all conveniently located in the centre so it is easy to walk around. You can get a train from Lewes to Brighton which takes about 15 minutes.

Lewes is a beautiful historic market town, full of independent shops, cafes and restaurants. If you interested in antiques, there is no better place to be, with emporiums full to the brim with curious artefacts. There is a real emphasis on local produce with regular farmers markets. It medieval streets and twittens really allow you to feel how Lewes once was, with the Norman castle high on the Hill for you to visit as well as the townhouse belonging to Anne of Cleves. You can easily spend a whole day pottering around and losing yourself in an interesting gallery or antique shop and then resting up in a cosy cafe.

It has a huge garden, with plenty of space for children to explore, and a great place to quaff rosé in the sunshine. The landlord is quite a character and you wont be disappointed by the food. Always book to avoid disappointment.
