Homemade salsas that look like they come from an alchemist's lab (including Mezcal) add a zing that makes you want to include this taste sensation every day. High end taste for low-end pricing. Hours are only 11 am to 6 pm, so time your hunger pangs and map out how you'll eat your way through the day.

If you don't want to wait in line for an hour, go at 4 pm, when they open. Order the quesadilla al pastor con todo (with everything) and you will never have had a taste sensation like it. Yep. True. Al pastor (marinated pork on a spit and carved off) is the specialty here, and it's unbelievable, but Sylvia orders vegetarian and loves it, too. Large margaritas, mango margaritas, and you'll forget all about the wait (if you really aren't hungry at 4) . Right on the main drag of the Romantic Zone, Calle Basillio Badillo, about a 5 minute walk from Casa Ileana, almost to the beach.

Amazing fresh seafood. Order the popcorn shrimp--to die for. And one of the fresh tuna plates/poke. Just those two and you'll be in heaven!
