Countryside
Cross the pedestrian river bridge, turn left onto the Wandle Trail. It's about a 25 minute walk along the scenic riverside. path. There's a National Trust café and garden centre/shop with nice things to buy, open 10am-4pm every day. It's a pleasant walk and a pretty park with a snuff mill museum and a rose garden. The Wandle Trail can be muddy after a lot of rain.

In winter they are open 10-4 Tue-Fri and 10-5 Sat & Sun They serve waffles and crepes, lots of gins plus basic bottled beer & wine. Relaxed vibe with a variety of seating spaces (inside and out) within a small cosy venue. Simple delicious waffles and bagels.
