La Locanda is an interesting mix of local and Asian food. you should try their Sushi. It is one of the best Sushi I have ever tried. And it is really affordable too.

This place is one of the best-kept secrets in Puerto Plata. It is in Playa Dorada. A gated beach-community. So it is very secure. The food is great. But to have the chance to eat it right there in the ocean makes it even better.

Imagine seeing the whole city of Puerto Plata, Loma Isabel de Torres, Sosua, and the airport while enjoying your food. You will get that in this place.

Teleferico, or cable car in English, is one of the most characteristic places in the city. It will take you from ground level to the top of Loma Isabel the Torres. Up there, you can find restaurants, museums, gift shops, and a beautiful botanic garden.
