My favorite of the restaurants at the Culinary Institute of America. Great value for upscale fine dining, especially if you take advantage of the prix-fixe specials during the week. Highly recommended that you make reservations well in advance.

Pawling's gem! Delicious croissants and "cruffins" sell out quickly in the morning. The best bread in Dutchess County. Great little dishes for lunch or evening bites on the weekends.

The trail is 1 mile from the house on West Dover Rd. Entrance easily spotted by the "Great Oak" tree. Diverse landscapes. West side of the road is Cat Rock (uphill with an amazing view of the valley). East side of road is starting with level, open fields, a raised wood path over wetlands, forest, moderate downhill, a scenic wood bridge over a section of The Great Swamp, MetroNorth Appalachian Trail Train Station (weekends only) and Native Landscapes Garden Center (water, electric, minimal resupply).
