Shopping
We are 14 miles from the town of Amherst where there is a Food Lion, CVS, Dollar store, and Dollar General, What a blessing bakery, ABC, Hills hardware, Autoparts, and a few other shopping opportunities on Main street. If you go over the mountain on route 60 to Beuna Vista and Lexington, there are a lot more varieties of shopping opportunities.
They have the most amazing ice cream, wonderful farm produce and a glorious array of plants.

Some of these places I can personally recomend. Others I have not been too.
They do really nice Greek and American food from early until late and they are very friendly.

Less than 7 miles from the yurt on back roads, through virginia countryside. Set in the heart of the woods. The road seems to go on forever and some of the road is a dirt road. Worth the drive though. They do nice food (mainly snacks) too. Nice place, nice people. Drive carefully and watch out for deer and other wildlife especially at dusk and after dark.
