Welcome! Come explore the wonderful area of Mount Vernon, Iowa. We are within walking distance to Main Street, its shops and eateries, Bijou Movie Theater, and Cornell College! Both Cedar Rapids and Iowa City are also a short drive away. You will be close to everything when you stay at our centrally-located home! The home comfortably accommodates 6 guests. A Queen Air Mattress is available for an additional 2 guests. There is a $15 fee per night per person for 7th and 8th guest. 8 guests max.

Beach Vibe No Beach Shanty

It's a quirky little weird house. 😂 Built in 1922. Its a whopping 560 sqft. It's a clean, classy decorated place for visitors to come & stay while enjoying Cedar Rapids. Relax on the little front porch to sip your morning coffee. Large TV & comfy couch. Dinning area is bright & cheery. 2 bedrooms both with FULL size beds. The bathroom is a Jack and Jill bathroom with a claw foot tub. Note..It is an extremely small bathroom. Cute galley kitchen leads to the basement with washer & dryer.

Palisades Inn East: Charming Lower-Level Apartment

This beautiful lower-level private apartment is the perfect place to stay while enjoying a visit to historic Mount Vernon. This spacious one bedroom rental includes space for 5 guests, two queen beds and a memory foam twin roll-away bed. Only a few minutes walk to many entertainment venues, museums, galleries, four live theaters, Coe College and many churches and restaurants. Our secure building will feel like your home away from home!

The Irish Hill - Uptown Marion

Named after it’s neighborhood roots, this 2 bedroom apartment is full of charm. Originally the first floor of a 1900 home for railroad workers in Marion, it is now a refurbished 2 bedroom apartment we call the Irish hill. A completely separate 1 bedroom apartment (also on Airbnb) is the top half of the house, and we call that the Uptown B! Check it out on our host profile. Irish hill guests will have access to a .25 acre yard (unfenced). Only blocks away from uptown Marion!
