Esencia is a cozy restaurant and bar, ideal for good conversation and enjoying a good show. It’s not 100 percent gay, but Monday evenings are diverse. It’s marvelous, in my opinion, since Monday is typically a dead night in Havana. Don’t miss a performance by drag queens Chantal and Blanquita—even if it’s a late show.

This bar / pub is one of the hot spots in Havana right now. Theme nights: Happy Hour on Friday night, Reggeaton on Saturdays & LGBTQ+ on Monday nights. Great music & ambience. Safer and fun alternative to big clubs. 100% cuban party mood.
