A good friend, Richard Holt, is the owner at Melin Llynon. A fully restored windmill where Richard will probably give you a guided tour. Richard is a first-class patisserie chef who has worked with Marcus Wareing in London. He returned to Anglesey and set-up his tea-shop in the Mill offering high-class teas with amazing cakes to enjoy (you must pre-book in case the tea rooms are full before you arrive). He has also developed his own brand of gin and chocolate, both of which are available at the mill's gift shop. There is plenty of green space for the children to enjoy, including two recreated roundhouses from the Iron Age. Check the facebook page for the latest opening situation due to covid. Perhaps mention that you're staying with Ian and Rhian - Ian used to play in a band with Rich as well - he is a fantastic guitar player too!!

Llanddeusant LL65 4AB: 01248 858324 Llynnon Mill is both a museum & Tea Room - but do check it's open before you go! It's fine example of an Anglesey windmill (or grist mill) - which was constructed across the Winter and Early Spring of 1775 and 1776 for the princely sum of £529 and 11 shillings! In its day, it was one of at least a hundred operational mills on Anglesey - that's if you count the water mills that milled corn, oats and barley.

Restored windmill in village a couple of miles away. Great to get a glimpse into Anglesey’s past. A new restaurant has also opened on site which is supposed to be very good
