This is an absolute must-see in the area. A short 40 minute drive from Calvisson takes you to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Pont Du Gard, a 2000 year old aqueduct built over three levels to span the river and deliver fresh water to the Roman city of Nimes. It is not only the tallest Roman Aqueduct in the world, but also the best preserved, and through one of the tours on offer you can walk along the very top where the water used to flow.

As well as visiting this famous Roman aqueduct and the surrounding park, the museum is also worth a visit if you want to get an idea of how they actually managed to build it.
