You need to experience the meaning of a “bruin café” while you vist. Literally translated it’s a brown bar, a cosy local tavern that’s far from chic but very real. A selection of classic Belgian Beers accompany the almost daily jazz gigs hosted at this place.

This might be the most iconic bar in Antwerp. It is a 3 floor bar in a unique 16th century building. Often there is live jazz music. This bar used to be home to some of Belgium's most legendary musicians and artists, some of which can still be found there today.
