The cottage would suit a family or group of like minded people looking for amazing sea views and nature on their doorstep. Staxigoe is the ideal place for cold water swimming, paddle boarding or kayaking. The beach behind the stack is the perfect place to look for shells or find hidden sea glass. Alternatively, simply relax in the sun lounge - you never know, you might see an orca!

The Old Smiddy, Huna, John O'Groats

Close to the village of John O' Groats and on the North Coast 500, the Old Smiddy (an old blacksmith's cottage) has been beautifully restored into a modern home, while keeping many of its original features. The cottage sleeps 4 people in 2 double bedrooms (both en-suite) and has a fold-away camp bed for use by a small child. The cottage offers beautiful sea views across the Pentland Firth to the Orkney Islands and is the perfect base for exploring Caithness, Sutherland and Orkney.

Firthview is located in a peaceful area from which to base yourself for an active holiday or relaxing retreat. Located just off the NC500 route in was completely refurbished in 2021. It sleeps 4 people and is available to rent all year round. This coastal cottage is part of a traditional croft-based smallholding in Caithness with views of the Pentland Firth, Orkney Islands and surrounding countryside.

Staying at Wathegar is a true 'away from it all' experience. Set amongst 800 acres of farmland between Bilbster and Wick Wathegar is a rural stone farm house. Our second home, Wathegar is a self catering cottage is perfect for a family holiday or celebration, a stop off on a road trip, a friends get together, or a surfing or shooting trip.
