THE STORY HOUSE at The Old Parrott Place

The "Story House" is a 1917 home we moved onto our 15 acre property and renovated. It's furnishings are clean and comfortable, and its beautiful cypress interior belies its rough, aged exterior. The spacious kitchen is fully equipped for you to whip up your own meals-the closest restaurant is miles away. This is the perfect place for a solitary writer or a family looking for a different kind of get-away! You'll want to explore the property- it's an Adventure in Learning about a by-gone era!

Redfern Retreat

Nestled under ancient live oaks, this vacation spot is a hipster heaven of art and maker furniture with plenty of space inside and out for entertaining. For entertainment, there are tvs in three rooms all with YouTube tv. Amazon Echo for music and news, and a Roku and Amazon Firestick for Internet tv. Just fyi, there's a separate bungalow in back that is also listed on Airbnb as “Redfern Respite” that you can book but has a separate entrance and private deck. This is not a shared space.

The 1910 General Store - residence

This historic country general store, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is within easy walking distance to art galleries and cultural events, restaurants, bars, night life, and family-friendly activities. This residence is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families, and furry friends (pets, max. of 2). We are unable to allow guests to host gatherings and house parties. If you are requesting to book, make sure that you have a complete AIRBNB profile, a current profile pic and phone number. Your request should include, what brings you to the Jacksonville area, along with an approximate time of arrival. The Retreat is separate from the main house (The Funk House) it is located in the back, on the top floor garage apartment. It has been completely renovated and furnished into a comfortable place to "Retreat".

Salt Life Beach Upper Deck

3 blocks to the beach and a short 10 minute walk to the Village. It's a quiet neighborhood, great for enjoying coffee on the patio in the morning or refreshing beverages in the afternoon, you can hear the ocean waves from the patio. FLETC per diem accepted.
