You'll be engaged by Schimmel's hospitality, bubbly personality and laid-back style. Oh, and don't be surprised if she shows up in her designer apron and high heels, as she loves to greet every customer with a warm Southern welcome and smile. Only open for breakfast and lunch and only open Monday through Thursday, Marti's is a true Athens secret spot. The Marti's chicken salad is life changing and all of the sandwiches and salads here are amazing. Order a half sandwich or salad because the portions are huge. Oh, and the mint sweet tea? I dream about it - that's how good it is.

Marti's is only open for lunch on the weekdays, but if you're visiting then, they are a must!! Their chicken salad and pimento plate is my absolute favorite. They serve huge helpings :-) Their mint sweet tea is wonderful!!
