About 2.5 km from the Museum on the way to the modern village of Marathon is the imposing Early Helladic (3000-2300 BC) cemetery at Tsepi, with many rows of cist graves both rectangular and circular, with an opening at the front that was closed by stones, where the dead were laid in a contracted position. The site is covered by an ultra-modern and impressive structure that allows both circular and panoramic viewing of the cemetery

Βρίσκεται στο Τσέπι, στο δρόμο για το Μουσείο Μαραθώνος. Οργανωμένο νεκροταφείο της πρωτοελλαδικής περιόδου (2500 π.Χ.). Οι τάφοι - ορθογώνιοι και κυκλικοί - ο καθένας με είσοδο και χωριστό περίβολο σε συστηματική διάταξη (σε παράλληλες σειρές). Η ανασκαφή έγινε από το Σ. Μαρινάτο από το 1970 έως το 1972 και από τη Μ. Παντελίδου - Γκόφα από το 1998 έως το 2001. Προβλέπεται η κατασκευή στεγάστρου, κατατοπιστικών πινακίδων και η διαμόρφωση του περιβάλλοντος χώρου.
