From the history of the church and surroundings A village known as Podskalí - the seat of Prague woodworkers and swimmers - was built between Vyšehrad and Resslová Street at the beginning of the 12th century. Barokní trojlodní kostel vznikl v letech 1708-13 pod vedením stavitelů K. Dientzenhofera a J. J. Aichbauera. Trojlodní stavba na téměř čtvercovém půdorysu s věží nad presbytářem a bohatě zdobeným průčelím. Mobiliář je většinou z druhé poloviny 18. stol.
