Get off Via dei Marrucini and turn left on Via Tiburtina, continue for 200m and turn right on Via dei Reti, after about 150m take the 3BUS bus and get off at the Colosseum. From here you can admire most of the wonders of Rome, from the Colosseum to the Imperial Forums, from the Pantheon to the Trevi Fountain passing through Piazza Venezia, the Campidoglio and the Capitoline Museums, and many other wonders.

The Colosseum, which is still the largest amphitheater in the world today, was commissioned by Emperor Titus Flavius Vespasian who chose the area between the Palatine, Esquiline and Celio hills to build it, previously occupied by the artificial lake of Nero's Domus Aurea. Its construction began in 70 AD. and ended in 80 A.D. under the empire of Titus, son of Vespasian.

The Colosseum, originally known as the Flavian Amphitheater or simply Amphitheatrum, located in the center of the city of Rome, is the largest Roman amphitheater in the world. It absolutely deserves to be admired in all its beauty

The Colosseum is an oval amphitheatre in the centre of the city of Rome, Italy, just east of the Roman Forum. It is the largest ancient amphitheatre ever built, and is still the largest standing amphitheatre in the world today, despite its age. Construction began under the emperor Vespasian (r. 69–79 AD) in 72 and was completed in 80 AD under his successor and heir, Titus (r. 79–81). Further modifications were made during the reign of Domitian (r. 81–96). The three emperors that were patrons of the work are known as the Flavian dynasty, and the amphitheatre was named the Flavian Amphitheatre. The Colosseum could hold an estimated 50,000 to 80,000 spectators at various points in its history having an average audience of some 65,000; it was used for gladiatorial contests and public spectacles including animal hunts, executions, reenactments of famous battles, and dramas based on Roman mythology, and briefly mock sea battles.
