Dongdaemun Design Plaza is well known for its striking architecture by Zaha Hadid. This is the hub of Korea’s creative industry, and I love the huge design shop (called Design Shop) in Academy Hall where you can browse contemporary items made by Korean indie designers. There are also traditional craft goods that are given a modern twist. Furniture pieces that are worth thousands of dollars are placed along the hallway that circles up to the top of the building. It is open to public, so sit, play, and take a picture!
