You know a place is phenomenal when you open an outpost five minutes down the road and both are packed with lines out the door. For many locals, HK Lounges are synonymous with authentic dim sum. The menu is English friendly and for those in the know, there are often off-the-menu dishes. And despite the white tablecloths, the vibe is casual and it won’t break the bank. The pan-fried shrimp and chive dumplings are incredibly flavorful — they taste like there’s an entire bunch of chives packed into a single order. The black sesame rolls are some of the best individual pieces of dim sum ever, in my opinion. They’re dusted with a little sesame powder on the top. Major yum.
