Duddingston Kirk is a Parish Church in the Church of Scotland, located adjacent to Holyrood Park in Duddingston Village, on the east side of the City of Edinburgh. The church was built in or around 1124 by Dodin, a Norman knight, on land granted to Kelso Abbey by King David I of Scotland. The original entrance on the south wall includes a particularly fine example of Scoto-Norman stone carving, with a round-topped doorway. Located in the picturesque Duddingston Village.

This is a 12th Century church - Church of Scotland. Look out for the "Loupin on stane" outside that was used by Gentlemen to re-mount their horses after attending Kirk.

A beautiful old Kirk with contemplative gardens leading through to Dr Neils Garden, with a beautiful view of the Loch and the wild life sanctuary across the water.
