Great beach, public parking, close to Stray Dog.

Beach entrance is just down the street from Stray Dog restaurant and downtown New Buffalo. Free street parking if you want to walk some. Otherwise, you can pay to park in the parking lot closest to the beach.

What We Love: The proximity to the town of New Buffalo, the buzzing summer energy in the air. This is one of the busier spots.

New Buffalo's City's nearly 800ft of sandy beach and Lakefront Parks are located on the North end of Whittaker Street, just across the Galien River Bridge. Parking fees begin Memorial Day weekend. Sunsets and sunrises are still free. Pay to Park is enforced between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM.
