Normally a wholesale distributer of smoked fish goodness -- Friday mornings (8AM-12pm) they sell to the general public, and it's well worth the wait! Make sure to ask for free samples (i.e. pastrami lox, which is a thing)!

When you order smoked salmon in NYC, chances are it was smoked here. On Fridays, 8am-1pm, the factory opens it's doors to the public to sell a variety of top-notch smoked fish at wholesale prices.

Hidden gem, on Gem Street!...Here's the deal- this is the place that makes and supplies smoked fish (mostly salmon- lox) for many of the shops and restaurants in the city, as well as nationally. They are the main supplier for Russ and Daughters. The deal is that they are only open to the public on Friday mornings- usually 7:30 or 8:00am to about 1:00pm. You can buy fresh sliced fish by the pound for bargain prices. Many different types. They will let you sample. Here's what you do- buy some from bagels from Bagelsmith on Bedford. Then go to Acme and buy some lox. Head to the park or back home to consume.
